Linux/Unix Application Developer
Role
• Participate in the ongoing design, implementation, operation,
and maintenance of highly-automated quantitative trading systems.
• Work with the trading desk by applying database and GUI programming
skills to create and customize tools for reporting, analytics,
data visualization, and decision support.
Skills Required
• Core computer science/algorithms skills. Experience with
SQL and network programming a plus.
• Strong C/C++ programming in a Unix environment.
• Scripting in perl or python
• Ability to communicate and cooperate effectively,
both in person and via e-mail.
Salary: Between $50,000 and $100,000 plus bonus

Linux Systems Administrator
Telemetry Investments, a hedge fund with offices in Manhattan, is
seeking a Linux systems administrator. We're looking for
a candidate to support our high-speed, automated trading
infrastructure.
Role
• Manage systems in a three-site environment
• Install/monitor/configure Linux servers and workstations
• Test new kernel features and software packages
• Benchmark new hardware
• Work with our vendors to resolve problems
Skills Required
• Know Linux (especially Fedora) inside and out
• Excellent scripting abilities in perl or python
• Some familiarity with C programming is a plus
• Bachelors degree (or equivalent)
Salary: Between $50,000 and $100,000 plus bonus
